SMITE's Pre-Season League ran until SMITE Version 1.0.2125, the update released on May 6, 2014. This patch brought a major rework to the League System for the Season 1 League.

Important Rules:
- Must be Level 30.
- League matches require players to have a minimum of 14 OWNED gods at Mastery Level 1 or higher. You may only play gods that you are at Mastery Level 1 or higher.
- The mode uses draft pick. Each side gets to ban two gods.
- Gods can be traded, but both players must be Mastery Level 1 at the gods being traded.
- New gods can't be played in League matches until a "cooldown" period has expired (giving a chance to the god to be better balanced and for the community to understand how to counter that god).
- Winning a League match will record that win for the season. The top 10 scored matches that you have won will determine your ranking within the league.
- Losing a League match does not affect your ranking within the league.
- Getting consistently reported by multiple players will result in a skill rating penalty.
- Intentional feeding, multiple AFK, or breaking the rules will result in bans including permanent bans.
