Ability Explanation[edit | edit source]

Passive: Nine Lives
This ability allows Bastet to resurrect 25% faster for nine respawns.
In my opinion, this is a rather unbalanced passive. Sure, you can respawn faster, but not dying is sort of the goal, isn't it?

Skill Key 1: Pounce
Bastet pounces to her target location, damaging enemies within 20 feet for physical damage. For 4 seconds after pouncing, you may press the button again to pounce back to your initial location.
Damage: 80 / 145 / 210 / 275 / 340 physical damage, +100% of your current physical power.
Effect: Crosses a distance, dealing AoE damage at location, with the optional ability to cross back to the origin point, dealing AoE damage again upon reaching origin.
Cost: Initial cost of 70 mana, increasing by 5 mana per skill level, to a max of 90 mana.
Cooldown: Initial and final cooldown of 12 seconds
This skill is very useful, in both offense and defense. Use this move to; catch up with a god, run away, or jump in then use some moves, and jump back.

Skill Key 2: Razor Claws
Bastet swipes at her enemies, causing them to bleed for physical damage every 1 second for 4 seconds.
Damage: 30 / 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 physical damage, +25% of your current physical power.
Effect: Afflicts the enemy with a bleed, causing damage over time.
Cost: Initial cost of 60 mana, increasing by 5 mana per skill level, to a max of 80 mana.
Cooldown: Initial cooldown of 15 seconds, lowered by 1 second every skill level, to a final cooldown of 11 seconds.
This is one of your key moves. Use it often. This move has great synergy with your ultimate, and is also a decent finisher for an enemy god running away that's near death.

Skill Key 3: Nine Tails
Bastet lashes her weapon, unleashing a projectile that does physical damage and slows the enemy.
Damage: 70 / 120 / 170 / 220 / 270 physical damage, +100% of your current physical power.
Effect: Afflicts the enemy with a slow, reducing speed by 20%. This move will increase with focus to a 35% slow for 3 seconds in an 8 foot radius
Cost: Initial cost of 70 mana, increasing by 5 mana per skill level, to a max of 90 mana.
Cooldown: Initial and final cooldown of 10 seconds.
Another "run-down" maneuver. Use this move to keep your enemy in melee range, or to allow you to pounce ahead of them.

Skill Key 4 (Ultimate): Cat Call
Bastet summons 3 cats that attack nearby targets for 10 seconds, slowing them and dealing physical damage per hit.
Damage: 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 / 65 physical damage, +20% of your current physical power, per hit of each cat summoned.
Effect: Summons 3 cat minions. Each hit will slow the enemy to a maximum of 20%. Special: These minions will automatically prioritize their targeting, attacking a bleeding enemy first (gods before minions).
Cost: Initial cost of 90 mana, increasing by 5 mana per skill level, to a max of 110 mana.
Cooldown: Initial and final cooldown of 90 seconds.
This is your real damage dealer. You mark your desired target with a bleed, then use this move, and suddenly the tables can turn.

Game Play[edit | edit source]

Early Game[edit | edit source]

Unfortunately, Bastet doesn't have very strong early game strategies. I personally like to start with Razor Claws (bleed) and then up my Nine Tails (slow) as much as possible after that (hopefully to keep them in range long enough to get a 2nd use of it and finish them), with priority switching to Cat Call (ultimate) whenever available.

Mid Game[edit | edit source]

Again, not very strong still, compared to other gods. Continue upping your bleed and slow.
Note that you can really unbalance the game by taking out every jungle mob and minion you can. They provide a very large amount of xp per minute compared to god-killing. Plus the jungle buffs make it that much easier.

Late Game[edit | edit source]

Oh boy. About the only time you start thriving. Your bleeds are hitting VERY high at this point, and if you can pull off a combo that ends in your cats surrounding the enemy god, it's over, since it'll take at least 3 gods to overpower the life steal you have at this point. Just keep in mind, you ARE a melee DPS, and ALL of the items were from the "Power" "Attack Speed" or "Life Steal" categories.
ALL OFFENSIVE
Do not chase an enemy god past ANY turret, or past the 2/3 point in an arena. You will die. Or at least your chances of it happening increase drastically.

Synergies and Counters[edit | edit source]

Synergies[edit | edit source]

Counters[edit | edit source]

I'll put more in here later, but for a fact, LOKI is a counter.

Tips, Pointers or After Thoughts[edit | edit source]

-After playing Bastet, I find it's not as good as I was hoping for. The damage seems sub-par with the other deities without this build, and WITH this build, Bastet is very squishy.

-This build is designed as a hit and run build.
-A good opening strategy is to start with your Razor Claws ability (bleed). After it hits, immediately follow up with a Nine Tails (projectile slow). Assuming you hit, use Cat Call to summon your minions, then Pounce in front of the other deity. After this, your Razor claws should be back up, hopefully with another Nine Tails following.
Pounce should be used at any time for attack or defense, since it goes both ways. If you're attacking, and suddenly you're in trouble, you can Pounce back. If you're retreating, and you see reinforcements, you can Pounce and hit them with a Nine Tails.
-I decided that Meditation and Sprint were the best items to have for this build. You're constantly running out of mana, so Meditation is far more economical than mana potions or constantly returning to base. Plus, running out of mana in the middle of a fight leaves you completely open. Thus why I also chose Sprint. You can chase down the deity that's running, and hopefully Pounce/Nine Tails will get you within range of bleed's and melee. If you DID run out of mana, and your Meditation isn't ready, sprint (combined with the Warrior Tabi) should be able to get you out of the situation and back to your base.

Keep in mind, the only way to win is to not die! Please keep an eye on your health, and don't let yourself be exposed with low health. All you do is lower the chances of you winning and increase the chances of dying again. Good luck, have fun!
